Clean down to every seam
Our exterior cleaning is the opposite of an automatic car wash. We clean paintwork, wheels, windows and trim by hand, thoroughly and gently. Stubborn dirt, rail dust and deposits are removed professionally without putting strain on the paint.
Rotating brushes and dirty wash mitts leave fine scratches that show up in sunlight as swirls and haze. These marks are almost always caused by washing. A professional exterior cleaning prevents exactly that and preserves the gloss of your vehicle for years.

How we hand wash
We start with a pre-wash. A foam softens the coarse dirt and lifts it from the paint before we touch the surface at all. This way, sand is not rubbed across the paint. We clean wheels and wheel arches separately with dedicated tools so brake dust does not reach the paintwork.
The actual hand wash is done with soft wash mitts and the two-bucket method. One bucket holds the shampoo, the second clean water for rinsing the mitt. The dirt stays in the rinse water and does not end up back on the vehicle. We work from top to bottom and leave the heavily soiled lower areas until last.
Then we deal with what the wash alone does not remove. Insect residue, tar spots and tree sap are removed with suitable cleaners. Rail dust, fine metal particles from brake wear and railway traffic, embeds itself in the paint and can be dissolved with a dedicated remover. We dry with soft microfibre towels and compressed air so no water runs out of mirrors and seams afterwards.
The right foundation
A clean surface is the prerequisite for any polish, sealant or wrap. That is why exterior cleaning is part of every detailing job we do. Before we carry out a paint correction or apply a ceramic coating, the paint must be free of dirt, grease and residue. Only then does the protection bond and the result convince.
Who exterior cleaning is for
Exterior cleaning suits anyone who wants their vehicle cared for regularly without straining the paint in an automatic wash. We particularly recommend it after winter, when road salt clings to the underbody, wheel arches and door shuts. Before a sale, after a long holiday drive or for coated vehicles, the gentle wash is also the right choice.
Also for motorcycles and commercial vehicles
We do not offer the gentle hand wash for cars only. Motorcycles with exposed components, chrome and delicate plastics are cleaned with particular care. Electrical components are protected, chain and brakes deliberately left out. Vans and motorhomes can also be cleaned by arrangement.
After the exterior cleaning
To keep the condition for a long time, we recommend a sealant. It makes water bead off, dirt adheres less and the next wash is much easier. If you drive on the motorway a lot, remove insect residue as quickly as possible, as it can attack the paint. Bird droppings should be washed off immediately for the same reason.
Frequently asked questions
How often should a car be washed by hand?
That depends on use and where the car is kept. For many vehicles, a hand wash every two to four weeks makes sense, more often in winter.
Is exterior cleaning suitable for wrapped or coated vehicles?
Yes. For PPF, wraps and ceramic coatings in particular, the gentle hand wash is the recommended care.
Can I combine exterior cleaning with interior cleaning?
Yes. Together with our interior cleaning, you get your vehicle back cared for inside and out.
