Paint protection film
(PPF)

Transparent film against stone chips, scratches and everyday wear. The original colour stays visible. The value is preserved.

Invisible protection for visible value

Stone chips do not happen at some point. They happen on the first motorway drive. Paint protection film (PPF) sits transparently on the clear coat and absorbs impacts, scratches and insect residue before they reach the paint. The colour of your vehicle remains visible and unchanged.

A high-quality paint protection film is made of thermoplastic polyurethane. The material is elastic, tear-resistant and considerably thicker than any clear coat. Where a small stone would chip the paint down to the primer, the film absorbs the energy. Many films also have a top coat in which fine scratches level out again with heat. Whether and how strongly this effect occurs depends on the product. We advise you openly on this.

Which areas we protect

  • Front bumper and bonnet
  • Wings and door mirrors
  • Door sills and loading edges
  • The entire vehicle on request

The front takes the most punishment. For most vehicles, a front package is therefore the sensible place to start. If you often drive long distances or have particularly delicate paint, a full wrap with stone chip protection film is often the choice. We also protect smaller areas such as the loading edge or door handle recesses.

Who PPF is for

PPF is the right decision for new cars, sports cars, leased vehicles and any vehicle whose original paint should be preserved for the long term. The earlier the film is applied, the more original paint stays untouched. When returning a leased vehicle or selling, undamaged paint pays off immediately.

We also protect motorcycles with PPF, such as tank, fairing and fenders. You can read more under motorcycle detailing.

Gloss or matte

Paint protection film comes in two finishes. Gloss film is almost invisible and keeps the shine of your paint. Matte film turns glossy paint into a satin finish while protecting it at the same time. On factory matte paint it preserves the matte surface, which is otherwise difficult to care for and cannot be polished.

We are happy to show you samples in our workshop so you can see which finish suits your vehicle.

Our process

Before installation, we prepare the paint thoroughly. The vehicle is washed, decontaminated and checked for defects. On request, we first remove existing scratches or holograms with a paint correction, because the film preserves the condition underneath.

The paint protection film is then cut to fit precisely and applied without bubbles, clean at edges and transitions. Where technically possible, we wrap the film around the edges so the transitions are barely visible. The work takes place entirely in our workshop in Hude, clean and under controlled conditions.

Care and durability

After installation, the film needs a few days to cure fully. During this time, avoid using a pressure washer on the edges. After that, care for the vehicle as usual, ideally by hand washing. How long a paint protection film lasts depends on the product, use and care. With good care, it generally stays clear and effective for many years.

If you would also like gloss and a beading effect, the film can be combined with a ceramic coating. This makes cleaning noticeably easier.

Frequently asked questions

Can you see the film on the paint?

A professionally applied paint protection film is barely noticeable from a normal viewing distance. At individual edges, a fine transition may be visible on close inspection. Besides high gloss, there are also matte films that give glossy paint a satin finish.

Can the film be removed again?

Yes. A high-quality film can be removed professionally without damaging the intact original paint. The prerequisite is paint in good condition.

How long will my vehicle stay with you?

That depends on the scope. A front package is completed much faster than a full wrap. We give you the exact timeframe at the viewing.

We are happy to advise customers from Hude, Oldenburg, Delmenhorst and Bremen personally in our workshop. We look at your vehicle and recommend the scope that suits how you use it.
