Privacy and comfort
Tinted windows shield the interior from view and reduce glare from sunlight. Driving becomes more pleasant, the interior heats up less and materials are protected. At the same time, your vehicle looks more modern and refined.
Window tinting is a decision for more comfort in everyday life. If you have children on the back seat, carry valuables in the boot or simply value an elegant appearance, you benefit from it every day.
What a tint film does
- Privacy for rear passengers and cargo
- Less glare from low sun
- Less heat build-up in the interior in summer
- Protection of upholstery, leather and plastics from fading
- Additional shatter protection, as the film holds glass fragments together
How strong these effects are depends on the chosen film and its tint level. We show you the differences on samples beforehand so you know how the result will look.
Tinted in line with the law
We only tint the windows permitted by law and use suitable, approved films. In Germany, tint films with a general type approval (ABG) may be fitted to the rear side windows and the rear window. The windscreen and the front side windows remain clear. The exception is a narrow sun strip at the top of the windscreen.
You carry the film's ABG certificate in the vehicle. An entry in the vehicle documents is then generally not required. We discuss the options for your vehicle with you before we start.
How window tinting works
Clean tinting starts with thorough cleaning of the windows. Every speck of dust under the film would be visible later. That is why we work under controlled conditions in our workshop in Hude and carefully clean the glass and the seals.
The film is cut to fit each window precisely. On curved rear windows, we pre-shape it with heat so it follows the curve exactly. It is then applied from the inside and pressed on with a squeegee without bubbles. Clean edges and even gaps to frames and seals are the benchmark.
After installation
The film needs time to dry. How long the windows should stay closed depends on the product and ambient conditions. In the first few days, small water bubbles or a slight haze may be visible. This is normal and disappears once the remaining moisture has evaporated.
For care, we recommend soft microfibre cloths and mild glass cleaners without ammonia. Sharp objects, ice scrapers and abrasives do not belong on the inside of tinted windows. You receive specific care instructions from us.
Who tinting is for
Window tinting is particularly popular for family vehicles, because it protects children on the back seat from direct sun. Estates and SUVs benefit from privacy for the boot. On company vehicles with tools or samples in the load area, it protects against prying eyes. After buying a used car without factory tint, it is also a sensible retrofit.
A match for wrapping
Many customers combine window tinting with car wrapping or additionally protect the paint with paint protection film. The result is a coherent overall look from a single source.
